South Coast Fire Sprinklers were contacted by a local developer to design, supply, install and commission a BS 9251 residential sprinkler system to four new build dwellings, to comply with The Building Regulations Fire Safety Approved Document B and help with access issues for firefighting.
We worked closely with the developer to ensure that the fire sprinkler systems were designed to meet all of the requirements of Approved Document B. Once building control had approved our proposal, we then carried out the installation of a category 1 fire sprinkler system to the four dwellings.
A total of 35 fire sprinkler heads were installed to protect all areas of the four dwellings, and the sprinkler system is supplied by a dedicated fire pump and storage water tank.
