South Coast Fire Sprinklers were contacted to design, supply, install and commission a BS 9251 residential sprinkler system to the refurbishment of the Derry’s Department Store that closed in July 2010.
We worked closely with the developer to ensure that the fire sprinkler system was designed to meet all of the requirements of the fire strategy report. We were awarded the contract to provide a category 3 fire sprinkler to cover five clusters of the 500-bed student accommodation.
A total of 120 fire sprinkler heads were installed to protect all areas of the five clusters, the fire sprinkler system was supplied from the cold water boosted supply.
